Hafidh Al-Rawahy has completed a BSc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington (Seattle) and an MSc. degree in Information Management from the London School of Economics (University of London).
He is currently completing an MA degree in Islamic Studies at Charles Sturt University (Sydney), and he also teaches two Islamic courses at the Modern College of Business and Science (Muscat).
Before retiring, he worked for Oman`s Civil Aviation in various capacities, and his last post was the Director of Navigation Services. Now he dedicates his time in pursuit of knowledge and serving the Islamic Information Center at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (Muscat) where his roles are to give travelers and visitors a better understanding of Islam and the beautiful architecture of the mosque, but also to challenge stereotypes and misconceptions about Islam they may have been exposed to, promoting better understanding between people of different faiths and culture. He has also been involved in developing booklets, pamphlets, and other literature on Islam that is distributed at the Grand Mosque to the visitors.
